Has anybody ever made their own? I've got a bunch of cotton gauze I could use (not like medical gauze; it's a closer weave. Think gauze curtains) What do you think? Will it work?

Peter_S said:dpool: the sock has to go in the first skimmer basket...the one inside the pool. The basket with the clear top that is attached to the pump is too inconvenient to change and in most cases has a side entry that isn't suitable to use a sock in.
I assume you also have a basket in the skimmer that is inside the pool??
