Probably a stupid question.

I'm buying the equipment for our new build pool. Everything is 2" right through until I get to the skimmers.

I'm looking at using two Hayward auto-skims but those and all the others I find take 1.5" lines.

Are there any skimmers to be bought that take a 2" line or does it not make a difference?

Pentair U-3, 620996, 2" skimmer. The "standard" skimmer used in majority of plaster pools.
CMP 25100-104-000, 2" Pentair U-3 clone.

Replacement baskets and float valves are easy to find as there are so many of these in use.

Hayward Skim Master SP1072S2, 2" skimmer, comes with a water bond.

Its nice to have 2" suction plumbing as it is less likely to clog than 1.5" Not saying it won't happen, but less likely.

Thank you for the answer. Looks like the one I'll buy.

I've lso found this.

Hayward Pool Concrete SkinMaster

Would you say it's comparable?
