Skimmer Basket Flipping Over

Twice now the skimmer basket on my above ground pool had flipped over allowing debris to be caught by the basket inside the pump. What can I do to keep the skimmer basket from flipping over?

Put a rock in it.

* a bigger than the suction pipe rock. It's kinda been a thing this season.

That won't restrict the flow too much?

Nope. Most the basket will still be free. You have to keep in mind that the suction pipe is either 1.5 or 2 inch and the basket is probably 7 inch for you. You have plenty of room to use a 3.25 inch rock that can't get down the pipe.
