Should the BioGuard tests be trusted?

Hi everyone,

I have a brand new SWG pool, 13,500 gallons. First week, pool company tossed 3 bags of salt in.

1st Water Test:
At home, SWG measured salinity at 3100ppm
BioGuard test - recommended adding 101 lbs of salt (salinity 2500), 2.75 lbs of pH Adjustment, 5.5lbs of Stabilizer 100, 10.75 lbs of Balance Pak 300.

Pool store said add the amount of salt on the report, I spoke with pool guy and he recommended only 1 bag of salt. Salt went up to ~3800 ppm

Second Water Test:
At home, SWG measured salinity at 3400 ppm
BioGuard test - recommended adding 78 lbs of salt (salinity 2700), 2 lbs of Lo n Slo, 2 lbs of Stabilizer 100

I'm ok with adding another bag of salt, and understand that the SWG might not be always accurate, but I'm assuming a new pool might be more accurate than this test. When I've done the water strip testing, the colors appear in the 'OK' range. Should I trust this analysis?

The pool store has said that I need to bring my water in every 3 weeks for warranty purposes.

Attached my BioGuard water analysis reports

I appreciate any input!!

Get your own test kit...get the salt version which includes the K-1766 Salt Drop Test. Gold standard and what you should be using to test salt. You can trust the 1766...

You have no idea the number of pools we have recovered due to poor pool store testing.

Sincerely,
PoolStored.
