Should I Upgrade Broken M500 to M600?

My M500 seems to have burned out; everything is clean as a whistle and I can turn the treads and impeller by hand, but the motor won't budge in auto or manual mode. We recently had our patio redone and a week of cleaning out sand, cement, and grout remnants seems to have killed it.

Since there is an M600 out now, is that a lot better? I'm debating if I should just buy it rather than try to get the M500 repaired. It's almost 3 years old so just within warranty (no idea if the warranty covers burned out motors, though).

I would file a warranty claim.. If that did not work out I would "upgrade" to an S200.. Much cheaper and cleans your pool every bit as good as the M500 or M600.

I used to have an S300 / Active 30 and it couldn't climb over the bottom vent cover; it would just sit there stuck. Is the S200 newer/more capable?

I have two S200's and neither gets hung up on the main drain covers.. I suspect your main drain is just a tiny bit higher than most.. But, the S200 won't do any better than your S300...
