Hello, new pool owner here and trying to figure out the ins and outs. 21 ft above ground pool, around 11,000 gallons. I'm on day 2.5 of slamming and have made good progress, went from green to now a cloudy blue and adjusting chlorine roughly every two hours. Using the Taylor k-2006 kit, my initial CYA was about 50, day 2 it was at about 30, and now I think it's even lower since the black dot doesn't seem to disappear with the cloudy solution (as per the instructions). Should I adjust my CYA or just leave it as is until my water clears up and I fulfil the other criteria to finish the slam process? Thank you!

During the SLAM Process you only test FC.
If your starting CYA was 50, use that CYA number and SLAM at the appropriate FC (20).
When ready to do the Overnight Chlorine Loss Test, you test FC after sunset and voth FC and CC before sunrise.
You must meet ALL 3 exit criteria to successdully complete the SLAM Process.

You can retest everything else after the SLAM Process it complete.
