I have the dreadfully unique hybrid pool with concrete bottom and fiberglass sides. I chose last winter to paint, even after doing my research and understanding the consequences. I understand I'm just starting my second season and time will tell but so far I've been thrilled with Industrial Coatings & Epoxy | Epoxy Pool Paint | Concrete Floor Epoxy | Supreme Paints & Coatings Premium Ultra - 2 part epoxy. It went on great and looks great. I just did the ultimate no no and poured ganulated shock slowly near the shallow end on top of my only inlet jet and left for some errands. End result, it ate away at the paint in a small area and turned it yellow.
I understand painting is not advised and that I probably need to drain to the spot and re-paint, but I figured I would ask to see if any others, semi-forced to paint had any ideas. I appreciate the help in advance!
Also, any NC folks out there that have found the skilled laborers that would convert this hybrid??
