SF Bay Area build (done!!!)

NorCalX,
We also are planning to get Maui Blue for our finish so I look forward to seeing what yours looks like once it has filled and then a few weeks later as the water acclimates. Great news that your fill is in progress.

Bob
We already love the color. I'm curious how much it will change as it settles.
Honestly it looks a shade darker right now but if it didn't change I wouldn't even care.

I can see the shimmer and sparkle of the glass and shells as I walk around too. That doesn't show up well in pictures

This is just under *24 hours of filling.

Waterline is about to hit the benches so approx. 18" of filling to go.

I estimate about 3-4k gallons remaining to fill.

Done in less than 8 hours if all goes well

And at 3:50 pm we see the water race coming down the home stretch!

The water has finally hit the baja shelf.

Only 6" of water left to fill!

Has anyone ever been so excited about 6"!!!

Wait...don't answer that...

Also pool is coming in UNDER estimate

Currently water meter reads 16,556 gallons used

I estimate total of 17,795 with the last 6" (before household usage adjustment)

At 815pm I turned off the hose (1030am Sunday to 815pm Monday was approx. 33.5 hours to fill)

19,078 total gallons based on meter readings

If I subtract a few hundred for household usage and a few more for being slightly over the tile half line I'm probably near 18.5k total gallons

Time to update my sig

Still no water feature pics. Waiting for balanced water before we play with it.

I did get to experiment with my lights though

The lights are on 3 separate transformers
1-Pool (shallow and deep end)
2-Grotto
3-Baja shelf

When I have more time I can program them to be synchronized. However, tonight it was a chaotic mess and all 3 would be on a different cycle by the time I manually activated them haha

Looks great! I’m debating whether to add a baja shelf light in our upcoming build. We have two Intellibrite lights planned for pool but wasn’t sure about baja shelf. Are you happy with this setup?

I have nothing to compare it to but I'm happy so far after 1 night looking at it and never actually swimming in the pool mind you

The baja shelf and the grotto both have the mini lights

My shelf is a massive 20x7 so the 1 mini light we put does enough in my opinion

Kim here are your action shots of the water!!!

including my favorite dad joke from too many trips to disneyland...what does the backside of a water fall look like!!

Need to figure out how to load video though....hmmm
