Semi inground Project starts now....pics!

Thought I would journey our semi above ground pool project here since I’ve enjoyed reading others pool journey. Here we are about to start excavating! This is what we are starting off with. Pool will be from thepoolfactory. 15ft round. Perfect for our backyard. I’ll be updating with further pics as we make progress. ?

Man that is a bummer!!! Oh wait let me be polite LOL HI! and welcome!!

I take it your are doing the work yourself! Hope you have some good beer on ice for the end of the day!

What are you doing with the mud dirt?

Thanks for letting us come along for the build!

Thanks for the welcome lol! :D
Dirt/mud is being put on other end of yard...when they say it’s a lot of dirt...it’s a LOT of dirt.
Yes hubby is doing the digging I’m watching/supervising :p
We have an installer coming next weekend to do the actual pool though.
Lot of work but well worth it I hope!

So excited to see this build. I'm looking at pools now at The Pool Factory with plans to order one during their winter sale for an install next year. I want mine about the same depth in the ground. Hope you post lots of pics!!

Dig until it is dark then turn on the lights and dig some more!

Do you think y'all will get done in time to not have to pay more for the digger?

Do NOT step foot in the house in those shoes or clothes!!! LOL Stop and drop them in the washer before you ever come in!

Wow, look at all that dirt! That must be exciting to be in the process; no turning back now! LOL Do you guys have to worry about rock? What about drainage? (yeah, I'm projecting my worries about when I start my project on to your project:rolleyes:)

After a lot of work in the rain and mud the whole is dug...and now it’s full of water cause it just wouldn’t stop raining last night and the rain continues today! It figures this would happen...months of being in a Texas drought and then bam we decide to do this and rain like there is no ending!
Thank you all for the welcome and the questions we are figuring out as we go cause sometimes life throws us some curve balls along the way. :p

Thanks for the welcome lol! :D

Yup! We did ours 2 years ago. 21’ round, 2ft in the ground.... and we have a walkout basement.... that was a LOT of wheelbarrows up the hill! :( .... and then back down the hill with all the sand for the bottom!
Had a heater installed last spring and dug half the yard up again! Lol
You will love it though!
Level, level, level!
