Pool was replastered in May and has gradually developed a spotted gray pattern. I am not that upset about the look although I hope it does not get darker. But I am curious about whether this is typical mottling, whether from poor workmanship or otherwise. Or is it scaling of some sort?
Chemistry has been maintained as recommended on tfp, targeting 0 csi since a few weeks after the plaster. We still have a heavy acid demand. I did find I had a problem testing ch due to magnesium interference and it was probably higher by about 150ppm than I had thought for a couple months. So csi was probably a couple points higher than it should have been for a while.
