Sand Out of Return Jets in NC

Definitely increase the FC. Interesting the C jumped on you. Maybe just from all the maintenance. Let's watch that over the weekend. But I would increase the FC to the 6 - 8 range right away. The CYA should climb more, but if it doesn't over the weekend, you'll want to add another 10 ppm worth. Maybe see what it looks like tomorrow as well. You can leave the pH, TA alone for now. Good work.

Water looks perfect this morning!! Crystal clear and sparkly!! 😊
I suppose I added too much chlorine last night, because my FC really jumped up. (I added the suggested amount on the app) Anyway. See what you think.

FC-13.5
CC-0.5
PH-7.5
TA-110
CYA-25
TC-14

I think it's time to do a happy dance. You can just let the FC fall for the next couple days, but you are in great shape. If the CYA doesn't increase by tomorrow afternoon, perhaps add that other 10 ppm worth of stabilizer. But other than that, your numbers look really good. Busy few days for you. Nice work! :goodjob: Time to enjoy all your efforts. :swim:

Yay!! Thanks again for all of your help!! Two last questions (for today lol)
Should I test the free chlorine every day or use the thing that you can measure chlorine and PH together? I’m kinda confused about when I should use that. Also, now that water is looking good, do I need to leave the pump/filter running 24x7 or should I turn it off for a period of time? I’m a little paranoid about turning it off because there’s so much pollen, which I finally have cleared up.
If I should turn it off, is it best to run it at night? During the day? Before we swim? After we swim? Lol or am I thinking too much?

I would test FC everyday during swimming season just to be safe (algae). PH you can do every 2-3 days with that "OTO Viewer". Now you can also modify your pump run time as needed. If you have a 2-speed, it can be on low speed. If it's a variable speed pump, a low rpm. You can adjust run times based on when you add chemicals (to mix) and just to skim the water's surface. Go with what works for you. Day or night operation doesn't matter. Weather is the biggest factor, like when it's windy and blowing junk into the pool.

Good morning!!! I think I want to submit my photo to the clear water committee LOL 😆
I added a bit of CYA this morning, as I tested it and it came back the same as before. (I was saying 25, but from what I’ve been reading, you should round up, so I went with 30) Anyway, it’s a beautiful day and I think we are going to spend the whole day in the pool…thanks to you!!!!! Happy Sunday and thanks again for the help!!!!
