Sand Out of Return Jets in NC

Very vertically challenged lol. Shop vac is a great idea. Sounds like a fun day tomorrow! I’ll keep you posted.

Dang it. I was so excited I told the kiddos they could swim this weekend yesterday 😂 Put the cart before the horse I guess!

Hey, like I said, increase that FC level more if you need to. It's still fine for swimming. Reference the FC/CYA Levels. Find your current CYA, then go to the matching FC level. As long as you do not exceed your SLAM FC level, you can swim. Because you never know what may happen during a pool repair (delays), it's a good idea to increase the FC a little before starting anyways. That's why I had you add one gallon earlier. :)

Have I said thank you yet? I honestly would be lost without your help!!! I really appreciate it!

Really hard to read that label, but since it takes 300 lbs of sand it appears to be an S244 model, just not sure of the age or specific type of S244. If you see anything to confirm (or something else) let us know.

I'm pulling up different results for laterals based on the year of the filter since they did some changes to that model over the years. See the Hayward manual HERE (item #10) as an example of what I'm saying.

Here are some other links:

You might contact Inyopools or Poolzoom for some assistance. They have good catalogs and should be able to confirm. I sure want you to get the right part number (lateral) so that is screws in properly.

On a side note ..... now that you have the entire thing out, take a good look at the rest of the assembly, especially the lower hub assembly the laterals connect to. If it looks beat-up, it may be best to replace it now as well. In some cases, it's more cost effective to replace the entire lateral & hub assembly, Then you know you're getting everything new and matches. Just something to keep in mind when you're calling around.

In the meantime, you should be able to put the MPV back on, connect the lines, and let your system run again. You can still leave it on recirculate until you get this all worked out.

So, the laterals that I have say s-240-d. Everything I’m finding online says sx-240-d. Do you think those are the same?
That was my dilemma and was hoping an online vendor like Inyopools or Poolzoom might confirm. I'll poke around some more as well.
