Sand filter

Can I use any brand sand filter for my intex pool? Or does it have to be the intent brand ?

Josie- welcome! Yes you can, and I'd say should, use a better sand filter than the dinky little one Intex includes.

Thank you.. the pool store keeps telling me that I have to you the intex brand only.

Like always, the pool store is wrong. You can see the setup I have in my signature -- I dumped the dinky pump and filter that came with my pool within a month. I'm getting ready to upgrade to a 1 hp Extremepower pump and a 19" Harris sand filter.

I highly recommend getting a better pump and filter, regardless of the size of your pool.
