I have no experience with SWG yet but in general that is about the smallest unit you would want for your pool. Look for something at least double the size of your pool, some buy the biggest they can afford so that they last longer. The idea is to run it for a short amount of time at a lower percentage to get a longer life out of the cell. That way you can also cut down on your pump run time to save even more.

I have an Intex 15000 gallon SWG (two actually) on my 6700 gallon pool, and in the peak of the season I need 10-12 hours daily of SWG runtime to maintain my target FC. I installed a second unit to get my pump run time down to 6 hours or less.

If I was to do this again I would look for at least a 20000 gallon unit.
