The video of sliding it around doesn’t work, I did that and thought my salt was way high and then watch a Taylor video shaking it and it was normalI watched a video because I can’t figure out the test. Mine never turns red from the salmon color. How red does the test turn? Here is mine after 50 drops. It got to the point I knew it wasn’t going to turn red but I kept going to see what it would do.
I am with ya 100%I can't walk and chew gum at the same time... let alone doing the drop test hokey pokey.. swirl-shake-drip and swirl...rub belley-pat head... UGH! I love my Speedstir
I had a similar thing happen with a seller on ebay. He listed and pictured the correct item but sent me a different one and wanted me to pay for shipping it back, sending the correct item and pay for shipping again. Eventually I had to go directly to ebay, file a complaint and get my money back. And he didn't like it when I gave him a low score.. . . . and after emailing back and forth all day they wanted me to send the kit back at my expense and pay a 30% restocking fee. I ended up calling Amazon and they refunded my money and I have a new kit coming from TFTestkits.
Is the SWCG happy? That should be a sufficient salinity level. Mine is normally just under that with no issues.Do I need to add salt?
It must be the time of day I check the equipment because this is the second time in a week I saw the lights flashing. The second time I go back and check on them they are all green. Does it do a check once a day?Is the SWCG happy? That should be a sufficient salinity level. Mine is normally just under that with no issues.
Maybe a silly question, but are you sure the pump was on when you noticed the lights flashing? Mine flash until the pump starts and then its steady green. It must be the time of day I check the equipment because this is the second time in a week I saw the lights flashing. Yes, the pump was on. I walk around the yard in the evenings checking the flowers, equipment etc. I must be getting old and setting a scheduleMaybe a silly question, but are you sure the pump was on when you noticed the lights flashing? Mine flash until the pump starts and then its steady green.
I thought I read that in the manual. Ok, thanks we are good.At startup, and after 12 hours of continuous operation, the IC SWCG goes through a diagnostic process. The lights flash red/green for a couple minutes. It is checking the salinity of the water during that process.
