Salt prices - where are you getting salt?

With salt prices nearly doubled, where are you picking up your salt to top off the old SWG?

Salt is about $2 more a bag here than pre Covid. So not significant in the world of pool chemicals.

Menards, and I pay a little extra for the pool salt as I find it dissolves quicker

Pool salt or softener salt?

You can use softener salt if it’s cheaper for you. Just know that it tends to leave behind lots of dirt so you want to add it, sweep it to dissolve, and then vacuum up any debris.

Price of salt at Home Depot or Lowes has doubled in the last 18 months. Best price here for Diamond Crystal Solar Naturals is ~$7/bag at Ace.

Looks like HD in NJ has Morton for $7.97 or if you buy 6 @ $7.17. Our dealer left 160 lbs (4 bags) of it so I guess I'm set up for a little while.
