I replaced my salt cell. When SLAM was done I started adding salt. I was going by the reading on the SWG and used the Pool Math app to determine how much salt to add. I added over approx 5 hours with SWG on off while adding. I would turn it back on after a couple hours and check the level then add more. Finally the SWG read 3100.

This morning it read HIGH. I was rushing to work and only had time for a test strip. I'll need to order the K-1766 kit.

I installed the cell with the hump up, should it be hump down?

Any opinions on what to do at this point?

Thanks,

You should never go by the salinity output on the SWCG for adding salt. You need a K1766 test kit.

You may have to drain some water if your SWCG will not tolerate the higher salinity.

You will need to get the salinity down enough so that the amps are below 8.0.

Salt is always tricky and you have to be extra careful not to overshoot.

Frequent brushing is critical to getting good mixing.

See what the K-1766 shows and dilute to below 3,800 ppm.

Will do, thanks

Water was a bit low this morning, so I've been adding today and now a big storm is coming through. Hopefully that helps some. Will order the test kit.
