Salinity in new SWG pool

Our pool has been open for about a month and after weeks of perfect chemistry (with a pool maintenance company initially on board) - we are now experiencing low - 0 FC With the SWG and pump operating 8 - 10 hrs per day. We have been having daily torrential rains here for the last 2 weeks here in northern florida. So, although we are not new to pools, this is our first SWG pool. Looking at how to fix we see that salinity measures - which doesn’t
come in the standard water chemistry kit, must be adequate in order for the SWG to generate chlorine. So, in addition to managing the other standard chemistry factors which are all leaning on the low side, we added salt yesterday - apparently too much - because now, with our new salt meter, it is reading at 4500ppm. Dang! We are now in the process of a partial draining (1/4) to replace with fresh water. The rain seems to be making this process difficult.
Any other suggestions???

thanks in advance
