we are trying to put up a pool fence, however because of the layout of our backyard it will be partly pool fence on concrete and partly chain-link fence on the dirt and steep angled portions of our yard. I just wanted to verify that a removable mesh pool fence does not need to be circumferentially anchored, but rather can be somehow secured to the end of a chain-link fence. Can someone please tell me if this is possible? any advice is appreciated.

thanks.

I don't think anyone can answer your question without knowing what your local code requires. Mine requires 5' height with no more than 2 1/2" openings. Wood, mesh or chain link ..it doesn't matter as long as it meets that spec.

our entire yard is already enclosed. this is an additional fence to protect our toddler and dog from the pool. it’s not a code question, i’m just wondering if a mesh fence will stand if it isn’t circumferential (mesh fence to chain link)

The fence should stand by stanchions that are stood up in holes drilled into the decking. Then you can secure it to either end by whatever means make sense. Most of such fences then have a gate that can be installed as well.
