Safe Water Levels Clarification

Hi Guys,

On the FC / CYA chart - which level is safe to swim in. Can one go in at the shock level? Or do you need to wait until you get back to maintenance level? (which may be quite high when CYA is high)

Shock level is safe ... And likely still less harsh than the local YMCA that probably does not use CYA.

Just to clarify - by shock level you mean the level you use for SLAMing according to CYA chart, right?

If the CYA is all dissolved and it did not escape the sock before dissolving you are OK. May not want to wear your most favorite swim suit.
