Hi all, we are getting a new liner installed today. (1st time) the sides of the pool are horribly rusted !! It is about 10+ years old. Is this normal ??? Pool was bought through The Great Escape
Rust is somewhat unavoidable. Moisture trapped between a liner and the wall don't help. 10 years is a good run actually. How about some pics so we can see?

I can't zoom in on the pic, but that's looks a bit more aggressive than just your typical surface rust. Before having a new liner installed, you might check to confirm. Sand/grind a bit to see how bad it is. If it's rusted through, it can rupture than you could have a 20K gallon flood on your hands. That's a shame.
