Bestway Rusted Out - Replace with Scaffold poles?

Ok, my bestway pool is 3 years old and totally rusted out by the end of last summer it's 3rd season. It's left outside all year and is running saltwater which I accept will accelerate the rust process. I really don't understand why bestway don't galvanise the poles tbh as I'd be happy to pay the extra. Anyway, I can either replace the full frame or buy a whole new pool and accept that I need to replace every 3 years or so and it's just part of the cost of running the pool. At £600 for the pool, it's £200 / year which is not the end of the world when you factor in the electricity costs, salt, water charges etc.

Anyway, maybe I'm mad, but I'm wondering if anyone has tried, or thought about replacing a whole frame with a custom scaffold setup. These poles are much thicker guage steel, fully galvanised and come in different diameters. You can buy adustable clamps to make up the exact same frame. My guess is it would easily last 10 years. My one concern is the corner clamps making up the oval ends - the scaffold clamps are not nearly as deep as the bestway T pieces meaning that the poles don't insert as far.

Has anyone else tried making a new frame using scaffold? Have I missed some obvious flaw in this plan or should I just crack on and let you all know how it goes?

Thanks in advance.

If you move ahead show us pics of the project and how it goes.
