Rust when replacing a liner

PB started liner replacement today - they left before I was able to talk to them - pool looked a bit rough to me - what should I expect from them on this before they install the new liner?

If this were my pool, I'd take a wire wheel to it and knock the rust off, wash it down with CLR and hit it with rustoleum. Then hang the new liner.

I think there might be a galvanic spray you can apply after removing the rust but rustoleum would probably do the trick

edit: looks like rustoleum makes this
