The most not observation is when I have the pool cleaner running nothing is going through the skimmer and while brushing the floor it’s coming off like brown or orange dirt - side issue I need to replace my screws on the screen as they are rusting - with stainless

Maybe it is orange or brown dirt in the pool and not rust.

Rust does not become visible like that when it leaves pool surfaces and goes into solution in the water.

I think your pool just needs a good cleaning.

Ok so I ended up putting more of the clorex stain remover in running the pump for a day then backwashing my filter and adding some more DE. The results are stains gone but my reading aren’t showing any chlorine and I have a feeder which is set to number 5. Adding picture for input thanks

Clorox stain remover is citric acid which lifts iron stains. Citric acid also consumes all your chlorine.

Add liquid chlorine until you get FC to hold.

We think test strips are meaningless. Use a good test kit - Test Kits

Every 10 ounces of 10% liquid chlorine will add 1.2 ppm of FC to your 6500 gallon pool.

Never add any chemical to the skimmer. Pour liquid chlorine in near a return.

Filters do not filter out iron in sequestrant.

You can try using polyfill in your skimmer and see if it turns brown indicating it is catching iron. If polyfill does not catch the iron then you will need to drain the water out.
Thanks for all your help the liquid chlorine works great and saves
Me a lot of money appreciated
