Hello all, I have an older above ground pool (18x33) Lomart Grand Oak Deluxe. My railing is starting to show some rust spots. Any recommendations for the best way to treat / get rid of the rust?

Your top rails steel or aluminum?

See if a magnet sticks to it.

You sure it is ferrous rust and not aluminum corrosion?

So the magnet sticks and I will attach to photographs so you can see what I’m dealing with, or starting to deal with. I get it, it’s a very old pool, but it still functions and we would like to limp it along as long as possible before Replacing it because demolishing the deck alone is going to be a nightmare. Thanks previous homeowners lol.

If a magnet stick to it then coat it with a rust neutralizer like from Rustoleom and then a coat of paint on the rust neutralizer.
