Running pool pump off Solar panels

Looking to run a pool pump off solar panels however not too clued up on what is actually required!

0.55kW 0.75HP 4.2A

What equipment would I require if I wanted to run this off solar panels? How many panels would i require etc and of what ratings.

Just to be clear, you looking to use solar panels for electricity to power your pump or for heat to heat the pool water?

You do not connect the solar panels directly to your pump.. You connect them to your incoming power to the house... this sends 240v power to your house and the grid if you are not using all the created power...

Solar panels are DC and need to be converted to AC in the controller... The controller needs to be connected to 240v power from the grid to work...
