Running Integrated Spa separate from Pool

I'm about to open my spa only (first time opening myself). We have a spillover setup, but I can run just the spa through my controller.

I'm trying to understand the best way to lockout the pool so no one accidentally tries to start using it. I can set the Jandy valves to off, and manually set them. Is there something I can do inside the Hayward OmniLogic controller that I'm not aware of? The spa and pool are setup as 2 different bodies of water in the controller.

What's the right approach here?

I don't know of anyway you can lockout the pool on the OmniLogic.

Why don't you open the pool at the same time?

Water from the spa will do over the spillover when people get into it unless you keep the spa water level very low. And usually the spa refills its level from the pool water.
