Riverside, CA - Backyard Overhaul

I like the tile/stacked stone combo. Very nice.

And what color paint have you chosen for the pool interior? After all the work you’ve put in, I can imagine these folks will probably only have enough money left over for a few cans of Krylon spray paint...

The pool tile is done as well as the scratch and brown coat on the patio. I taped and textured the ceiling so it's ready for paint.

The inspector didn't like my fireplace framing who which was no surprise to me. I brought this to the engineers attention over 2 months ago and requested a change on their design because it was not buildable. His response was to see what the inspector says... I knew how it was going to go because this guy is extremely picky. Needless to say I revised the plans how I need it done and sent it to him - now it's a waiting game.....

On a positive note the crown molding is going in on the patio. I went with a custom profile that I think will go nicely with the rest of the backyard. If you've never seen how this molding is made it's worth checking out, very cool process and it really provides a look that pops

Oooohh!! That is cool. I’ve done some hot wire cutting of styrofoam for some school projects with the kids. They make craft versions of those cutters but it’s hand-pushed. You won’t find the CNC machine at your local Michael’s Store.

Well, now I know what all those $10 million dollar Pelican Bay mansions were made of....styrofoam!!

If YOU say it is not buildable then there HAS to be something wrong with it! Gurrrrrrrrrrr why can't anyone listen???????? "wait and see what they say" ?????? DUH!

That molding looks awesome! What a neat way to make it too! Thanks for the video! I always learn SO much from your posts

I remembered that was going to be a surprise AND the bubblers for the kids! I so want a pic of the kid's faces when you first turn on the bubblers!

What color is the paint going to be? Guessing white or off white.

I just checked out the Merlex website...nice materials to work with.

What’s your “go-to” color? I like the French Toast....
