Results two years and two court dates later

The VSP and the controller are same as mine, is the filter C4030 or larger? Mine is C4030.

Salt - if I remember correctly - no salt for 30 days post pebble install.
How many pumps do you have? I was expecting one pump would take care of the pool and spa but each have their own. I will inventory later today and let you know about the cartridge. It’s unreal how many bags of salt are there.

PBs over estimate gallons all the time. When the time comes, test before it gets added, and aim for 75% of the rest. We had member last year be 600ppm (1/6) from startup alone.

Did you get meters to measure how much water the pool holds as it's filling up?
I forgot, thanks for the reminder as time may be running out. What kind did you say you got? Wasn't the max below what you needed? If so, did you time and estimate?
And yes, that looks like a lot of bags. Based on a rough calc, I think you will have about 16k gallons...so like 10 bags will be what you need (in a month).
I have (23) 40# bags sitting out there.

This is what was delivered today. The builder says he has the heat pump.

No, it may have been a WAG from the builder but we haven't talked about it so I don't know.

If you went with a rectangle with an average depth of 4.25 ft, you'd have 16,200 gallons give or take. 23 bags is 6800 ppm from 0. Your freeform will be slightly less gallons, so 7k+ worth of salt ? Yeah. You test and you do when the time comes. (y)

Its usually 30 days after the water goes in for salt. You have time, but the shipping/supply world is still a mess, so it wouldn't hurt to order it. In good times everyone always reported a 3-4 day delivery.

Are you saying I won't need to test anything for 30 days? When would I have to add chlorine? I bought 6 gallons today of concentrate and can get more when I need. BTW, my daughter counted the salt bags and there are 25 of them, not 23 as I counted.

Does the contents of the bleach label shown look OK for our use?

Nooooooooooooo. I'm sorry, we were talking salt. Regular tests are day one. Salt is day 30

If you are doing startup, daily.

Check the rest of the label. No scents, splashless, colormax, or anything else.

6% will work in a pinch but its usually not too cost effective if you can find 10%+

What brand bleach is that?
It's Laura Lynn. A brand of Ingles grocery store. They have a lot of them around here but may be regional. GA/SC?
Check the rest of the label.
That is pretty much the entire label as far as ingredients. It just says concentrated bleach. We can get some elsewhere, I just got their concentrated. Don't know what strength their regular bleach is.

It sounds no frills, which is good. 'Concentrated' doesn't mean anything. It sounds strong, but isn't. You have it so you might as well use it.(y)

Walmart / HD / Lowes have 10% chlorinating liquid in the garden section outside. The pool store may be a good deal at 12%. Pool math has a calculator to play with the value. Any of it works in a pinch and is better than algae, even if it cost a hair more.

I ordered something from Amazon...it only went up to 999 gallons...so I checked it every once in awhile and wrote down where it was and figured out how any gallons per hour it was doing...better than nothing! Also, when I have ordered test reagents, it has been delivered quickly...like just a few days.

I just ordered one from Flows. Hoping it will be here before I need it. Also ordered the Taylor "C" kit recommended here thinking I might get it quicker.
