Replacement pool robot - what are feelings on cordless?

Hi All, my Maytronics Active 30i may have finally bitten the dust after 4.5 years of quality service. I will try some further troubleshooting tomorrow, but I am not hopeful.

Question for the community - if you were to buy a new pool robot today, would you go cordless? If so, which model?

My Acitve 30i served me well, the big hassle was dealing with the tangled cord all the time.

I wasn't sure the cordless Maytronics were out yet? And don't they require the energy hub to be built in to the wall of the pool?

That's the only cordless I've heard of?

Anyone have any experience with this? $599 on Amazon. One downside I see is that the batteries are not replaceable. Is that typical of battery powered cleaners? What's the expected life of a pool cleaner in general? I'm still doing it old fashioned way, and it's getting really old.

I wrote a review of the Water Tech Volt 550Li. I've been enjoying it and it seems to clean well. The battery is much larger than the Amazon offerings (though the price is also much higher).
