Replacement filter?

I have 4 Hayward c4030 cartridges that I can’t seem to get clean. Pumps run fine when filters are out. I’ve cleaned the filters several times in muriatic acid which seems to help but they clog back up within a few days and the pressure rises on the gauge. Just bought them last year.

What at is the best filter(pleatco, unicell, etc...)to replace them with and where should I buy them?

These are what I bought last year:

What happens is if you don't wash the oils and such really well in advance before the acid, the acid has a congealing effect and bonds the stuff into the paper basically rendering them useless, or at least not as effective. So in the future you'll want to give the cartridges a very good washing first.

Invented a Filter Sok that slides over the cartridge. Flow rates are the same and water clarity is great. Obviously there is less square footage, but, we have had cleaning cycles up to 3 weeks. This may be too often for some, but, if you extend the life of the cartridge by years, what makes the difference.

We have used this sok on our other pool filters for over 15 years and you would be amazed how fast it rinses clean, only takes a minute. No scrubbing, high pressure spray, no soaking.

Once people try this, they don't go back.

If your filter is half plugged, the sock could extend life for up to 2 more years.

We just tested the sok on a cartridge that had a 10 psi starting pressure. We cleaned it before we started and it stayed at ten psi.

Slipped sok over cartridge with it's patented seal and ran it for two weeks. Pressure went to 17 PSI. We had a big algae bloom before we started and the Pool guy treated the pool with Phosphate to kill the algae. We removed the filter with the sok on it and rinsed it clean in about a minute.

When we put the filter back in and started the pump, the pressure went back to 10 psi as before.

This sok is made of a special material and sealed to the cartridge with a patent pending seal, We've used the sok material for years in industrial applications that were much more stringent than pools.

There will be distortion of the cartridge, however, we are using the cartridge for support only, does not matter if it's distorted.

We make a frame for the sok, but, felt this has a great advantage for cartridge owners. This would be very good for outside pools in the country.
