So the light in the pool went out. I'm assuming it died and needs to be replaced. I've watched some videos on how it's done and it seems fairly easy. I'm thinking of going with one of those fancy LED color lights. Any suggestions on a brand? Have no idea what type of light is in there now, just that it's a white light.

Yep, I checked the GFI and the main electrical box. Both are working. I've attached a picture of the light, haven't had a chance to remove it yet. I know it's an LED. Any suggestions on a good brand and place to buy with decent prices? Amazon, Ebay?

Another question I have is how do I remove the light? All the videos I've watched show the larger lights that have a screw at the top holding it to the wall. I don't see any screws.

Does anyone know how to remove the light in the picture I posted above? Do I need a special tool? All I see are two notches, one on either side of the lens. I tried using an adjustable wrench, a hammer and screwdriver but I didn't try too hard. Didn't want to break anything or shatter the lens. I hate to say it but looks like I'll have to go to the pool store.

Anyway, I guess I stumped the TFP panel. Not a good thing. Have a pool guy coming out. Went to Ace Hardware, Leslie's, no one seems to know how to remove the light.

Are you the original owner, if so why not contact the builder and see what you can find out from them. There really isn't enough information to give you a positive solution. I searched as many sites as I could to find a tool and the only one that is for sale is for the Pentair globrite light, which doesn't look like the picture you posted. Have you checked the junction where the light is tied to the transformer to see if the power is getting to the light? maybe the pool service guy can figure it out Good Luck

Yes, I am the original owner. Tried to contact the builder, they never responded. Not sure if they're still in business.

Got a pool guy to come out and look at it. He said it's a fiber optic light, low voltage 12V. Transformer needs to be changed along with the light. The light has moisture in it, probably has a leak. Cost about $400 for everything including labor and tax.
