I have a concrete pool that is 40 years old. It was built when my parents owned the house. It has a painted surface. Paint has always held up well. I painted the pool myself 6 years ago. Could have made another year but decided to do it now. I was pressure washing it to get ready for painting and found some small delaminated areas in the bottom along the wall. The pool is fiberglass oval 16 X 35 with a concrete bottom. Top 4 feet fiberglass with a concrete bottom in a bowl shape. Concrete is 4 to 6 inches thick. My parents had someone come fix a similar problem about 15 years ago on the other side. No problems at all with that repair. My parents are both gone now and I don't remember who they used. Any way. The problem they had fixed was a bigger area. I want to do it myself. Theses areas are small. Biggest one is about 1 1/2" out of the 4. My question is what should I use. I here gunite shotcrete and other terms but not sure if they are new terms or processes of the same material. I want to say the last repair hydraulic cement was used. I have already chipped away the loose material until I hit solid.
