Our hot spring spa has developed a slow leak (it needs water every week or so). I pulled the access panel off for the first time in about 5 years and found the leak at the turn around end of the heater. The leak has been going on for a while and there are a lot of mineral deposits in the area of the leak. Is it possible to remove the heater, clean it up, and repair the leak or is there likely to be too much corrosion so I should just go ahead and replace it?
