Repair or Upgrade Compool Lx3600

My Compool LX3600 is about 20 yrs old. Last year I had the freeze sensor replaced, but the Err3 still shows on the indoor compool Cp3600.
It was deemed that the circuit board was bad and that i should replace or upgrade the board.
It's not worth the replacement because all circuit boards are not OEM but used and could be faulty also.
If i upgrade, I'm confident I can follow the wiring schematics , but I'm nervous about the programming.
Anyone do this upgrade themselves?

Ron,

I have seen several threads here about upgrading to the EasyTouch.. Programming is pretty easy once you understand Pentair's operating scheme. Besides, there are tons of people here that can help you.

I doubt any of your old remotes will work after the upgrade. I suggest that you look at ScreenLogic2, so you can control and program using your PC, Phone, or Tablet.

I did the upgrade a few years back on my ancient LX-10 Timemaster. Very easy to do. Did not have to change or adapt any connectors, Without Screenlogic I would not consider the Easytouch. With the Screenlogic, programming is very easy.

Ditto. I just recently upgraded my 3600 also. It took all of 45 mins to do and that was because I took my time. ScreenLogic is the way to go. And @Jimrahbe has been super helpful in the process. Got for it!
