Remote pool thermometer

Anyone recommend any specific remote thermometer for pool temps? I'd like to know what the temp is from the comfort of my recliner. :) I had a $20 jobbie that I used for my woodstove room, and the manual said the probe was good for spas and pools, but alas the probe went haywire and constantly read 138 degrees, which is a little too warm for me.

I'm bumping because I'd like to have something too. I've considered some of the weather stations with multiple temp sensors, but I never know if they would tolerate constant immersion.

Here are some:

(I have this one, the temp probe was DOA. They are sending me a new temp probe. This one has a 100' range but it almost needs a direct line of sight. I had to mount the transmitter at the end of a PVC pool which I painted to blend it in. If I had it to do over, I would go with the Brookstone model.)

Keep an eye out for range. 100' seems like a long distance until you put a wall or two between the transmitter and receiver.... That is why I am thinking about the original unit from Brookstone.

I have one from La Crosse... works great. It came with the standard outdoor sensor and then I bought the probe sensor separately. I got it a couple years ago, so not sure if they are still around but I can probably find the paperwork if you want model numbers.

You can also play some fun pranks when people come over and ask you what the probe is for. :)
