I recently installed a new liner on my inground pool myself. Prior to installing, the pool had been empty for some time, so ground water ended up bursting through a part of the pool wall following a major rainstorm, creating a cavern. I cut back as much of the hollow area as I could see, backfilled with gravel and vermiculite, filled the pool, installed the liner, and everything seemed to be going well....
Until 3 days later, I noticed the liner caved in in an area directly above and adjacent to my original patch. I thought I excavated and filled in all the hollow areas after the rainstorm, but I clearly didn't go far enough.
I now need to fill and patch this opening. My question: does anyone have special tips or guidance on how to best go about removing/reinstalling the liner? Is there a risk of breaking the liner if I completely drain the pool, unscrew some of the seat tracks (I'll need to to access the hole), and reinstall the liner? I'm thinking the liner will still be very pliable given it's only about a week old, but am hoping others can weigh in.

It's only been three days and the temps are not that bad. I would think if there was ever a time to pull the liner back and do the wall repair, now is the time while the liner should still have some flexibility. Wait too much longer and you'll be stuck. But let's see if any other members have a recommendation.
