recommended cleaner for around 150 or less?

I think you need to reset your expectation on cost. I spent over $150 for a rebuild kit for my Polaris and that was just for a bunch of parts for a machine +10 years old. My booster pump alone cost over $250 and the Polaris new is several hundred. Robots running from an extension cord are going to cost $700-1000. You are spending several thousand dollars on a new pool, invest in a good cleaner to keep it looking good.

I personally like the pressure side cleaners because I can just leave it in my pool and I have a timer set to the booster pump to run at specific times. The Polaris with the booster pump also helps circulate water in the deep end but that won't matter for an AGP. Electric robots will clean better but you can't just leave them in the pool when not in use.
