As I bought bleach at my nearby pool store yesterday, a Hayward filter caught my attention. It's a brand new line of filter housings that don't use the metal bands and knob-screws; the gauge is receded and it looked real easy to take apart for cleaning.
1. My current cartridge is a 137; do I have to stay with something that big? I assume so.
2. Does anyone have experience with the new Hayward products, Star clear?
I don't need to replace mine, but after looking at the one in the store, my curiosity awoke. And getting those metal clamps off is a pain.
