Recommendations for SWG purchase

We've been thinking of converting to a salt pool for a couple of years, and are looking for recommendations for a 28K gallon in ground pool. We'd install it ourselves and have 220V to our pump on a timer, with a bypass switch at the pump. We have 1.5" PVC.

We're looking for recommendations on brand & specific model.

Should we upsize to a 40K size?

It seems there's been a big bump in pricing like we've seen with this Chlorine story. Should we wait a season or so before purchase?

Thanks!

Yes, look for a SWG rated for about twice the size of your pool. If you already have automation, you might consider the same brand for compatibility. If not, you can go with jus about any model. Go to Discountsaltpools.com to see a listing of models and comparisons. That's a good place to start.

We recommend 2 times the size of your pool, that would be a 60k SWG... that way you can run 24/7 at 50% or 12 hours a day at 100% to create enough chlorine for your pool... this will fluctuate during the season..

The sales have come back down a little but you may wait till Dec or Jan to see what they are in the off season :)
