Raypak206a - pilot lit but burners are not

Welcome to TFP.

Are you saying you bought a used heater that has never run for you and are now trying to get it running?

Did you clean the orifices as described in RayPak Heaters - Further Reading ?

Have you checked the gas pressures at the gas valve?

Post pictures of the insides and outside of your heater.

@swamprat69 may have thoughts.

What does the display show?

Could be a flame sensor problem.

Could be a lot of things.

Do you hear a click of the gas valve opening?

Does the gas valve get 24V at startup to open it?

I have a used raypak206a. I have cleaned out the burners and have a new pilot light on. The pilot is lit and burning but I can’t get the burners to light. Any help?
Does it continue to "spark?" You'll hear a clicking. The usual issue is that the pilot burner assembly is too dirty at the "fork" for the system to sense that the pilot is lit. The burner assembly is also the "flame sense" component. You can remove the gas line, pull the burner tray out to get to the pilot, use a very fine sandpaper and clean the "fork" that is above the flame lightly. Too much and you remove the coating that protects it. I would try the following first.

The burner assembly may also not have a good ground. Take a green wire, attach it at the screw that is holding the burner tray in place on the right side of the cabinet, attach the other end to any screw in the cabinet that has a clean surface below it. If it isn't clean, use a fine sandpaper and clean the area. You can use any color wire you have, but green indicates that it is a ground wire to anyone servicing the heater later.

I don’t believe it ever sparks. The pilot assembly is brand new as well so I don’t think it could be that. I am assuming it has to do with the wiring possibly.
If there is flame at the pilot, it the ignition system sparks, that's how it is lit, unless this is a "standing-pilot," millivolt heater. Does the heater have a 120V or 240V wiring powering it (one or the other)? If not you probably have a bad pilot generator.
