Raised bond beam veneer options

We love modern design and have raw poured concrete wall on our porch near the pool. Attached are photos of the exposed raised bond beam. The gunite crew was pretty clean with it. We have a techo-bloc onyx black pool coping that will go on the top. Can we leave the raw gunite exposed on the 2 sides it’s raised. It’s in the corner of our yard no one will really use since it’s so close to the property line or do we have to veneer or parge it like a foundation would be done?
if we can’t use the raw gunite any suggestions for something modern that won’t break the bank.
Another question with the raised bond beam is how to handle the pool cover, how do u attach it to the wall?

I am doing this exact setup, you can use tile, rock, fake rock, pavers, just about anything including leaving it with nothing on it... Just make sure you use a perimeter joint between the tile/whatever you use and the coping like the attachment has..

I am using 16x24x2 inch coping to go 2 inches over each side of the 12 inch bond beam and I am really thinking about using 6 inch tile on the inside and outside to cover..

So this is a better angle with the plan showing just the back and left of the pool looking out at the back yard are raised. It’s actually level with the pool we just won’t have decking on those sides just coping and the ground slopes so the grade will be about 18” lower than pool wall. So it’s not so much a feature wall that is raised above the pool decking that acts as a feature wall it’s just the pool sticking out of the ground so we didn’t have a mound of dirt close to the property line with no where to grade it.
The specifications you attached were very helpful thank you. I suppose we have sometime to figure out if we need anything.
Attached is our pool coping (techo-bloc onyx) and our waterline tile is a 6x12.

Any clue what to do about a pool cover? Pool guy suggested adding some concrete down low that can be covered with soil and grass but that they can shot the anchors into. Is that how they do it in situations like this or is there some other way?

Subscribed...and I will be watching how you solve the pool cover issue (we might have the same raised bond beam). I do know that for one of my quotes my PB mentioned an "over the side/top" cover...I don't have anymore information, but I am sure one of the experts on this forum could answer. I was going to put the concrete in the grass as you mentioned before, the only concern will be the cover rubbing on the edge of the pool. Looking forward to hearing solutions.

Are you talking about the raised exterior wall? If so, you can leave it raw but might not look so good over time. I did a cement stucco over mine. Just a thin skim coat of colored cement. Cheap and looks good.

Is there any waterproofing that needs to happen first? Also on one of the exposed sides there is the copper bonding? I believe that’s what it’s called sticking out of the gunite raised beam do they just stucco right over the copper wire?

I water proofed mine although you will get varying opinions on that. The plaster should be water proof. I have seen water leach through exposed walls though plaster, so I did water proof it. As far as your bonding wire goes, ideally it would have been attached at ground level. You will eventually have it attached to a bonding grid even if it is just a loop of copper wire through the dirt. If the gunite wall is thick enough, and the wire is long enough, see if the builder would thick it safe to cut a groove in the shell to burry the wire in to cover with stucco to hide it better. leaving enough expose out of the dirt to attach to the bonding grid.
