Hi Everyone,

First time poster here. We have had some wicked rain in Ohio and have had 2 instances where rainwater and silt have flooded into our pool. We are about 5 days out from the most recent instance and the pool is looking more like a pool and less like a lake, but continues to be cloudy especially after we try and vacuum the bottom. We have tried 2 rounds of clarifier and our chlorine level is running a bit high. We have sock filters on the skimmer, but are frustrated with the slow progress as summer is passing us by in Northeast Ohio! Any suggestions on approaches we can take to clear things up. We have a Hayward Cartridge filter if that helps. Before the rain the pool was crystal clear and we were swimming.

Thank you for your insight!

Our pool is once again a nice shade of blue! Yay! We are still seeing some fine dirt and larger particles coming out of our return, particularly after vacuuming. Our pressure is still at 25. We have ordered a new filter to see if that makes a difference but we are grateful we can now see the bottom, even in the deep end. Our skimmer socks have been helping a great deal, but we are considering using a product like Fiberclear to improve the filtration and clear things up again. Any thoughts on products like this?
