Our pool has no railings by the steps. What is the best type of railing for safety and economy?

The best time to add a railing is when the pool is being built so that you can have it properly bonded and anchors installed as part of the decking.
It is somewhat harder to do after the pool is built.. My pool also had no railing, and then as I got a little older, I found it was something I needed. Below is a picture of my railing. It is made out of a product that is coated so it does not need to be bonded. It is designed to have the anchors built into the deck or for the ugly above the deck supports that I have.
