I have an above ground Radiant pool, with Standard 2" coping.
My pool is 8 years old and every season I have set up the ladder as instructed.
The ladder is placed in the pool with the clamps secured in the coping.
However because of this set up, the ladder is wearing out the coping and causing the liner to slide out.
I have tried, but kids like to play on ladders in pools. The constant up and down causes the ladder to rock, which pulls the coping back and forth enough to loosen.
My only other thought was securing to the deck. However my deck is not flush and level to my pool. I had to have a 1.5 foot bench/step build to enable people to sit and put feet in the pool.
Therefore I would have to use self-tapping screws into the wood.
As bolting from the bottom would require me to cut an opening in the bottom of the deck, to then drill through the step.
I am sure there are worse problems for a pool owner to have, but I cannot imaging spending the next 10 years dealing with this.
So I am looking for any ideas from those who own radiant pools? or just have a good idea?
Thanks in advance!
