In a situation like this I expect there is a certain order of things with regards to what action you perform. Am I right with that? And I mean that as far as generally speaking.I went ahead and did Total alkalinity just to see what it was. It was at 115.
The instructions it for that level is to reduce pH to between 7.0 and 7.2 with acid and then aerate to increase pH.

You are correct. So I am assuming that muriatic acid is the way I should go.
Hi, I'm back. Had to make a quick trip out of the country for business reasons. To answer the last question, I am a little confused. All I did was do the tests as directed and fill in the amounts. It's what I've always done in the past and a lot of times I get questioned about why I've done something so I'm kinda at a loss.Where exactly did you see your target CYA is 75?
CYA 60 or 70 would be fine to start. Easy to bump it up 10 ppm if needed.
And the CYA test always gets rounded up to the next higher number. IfCYA is 61-69, round up to 70.
How did you measure a TA of 115?
25ml sample, each drop is 10. Result is a multiple of 10.
No dry acid - especially with a SWG. Muriatic acid only.

This is where time and experience comes into play. While the app is a great tool, it doesn't know all of your pool or local details. For example, it may tell you to have a CYA of 50 (summer), but if you live in Phoenix with 155 degree heat, your CYA may need to be higher. It was for me down here in Texas. IT may say a TA of 80 is fine, but you have learned that a TA of 60 is better because it keep the pH from rising so fast. If the app is saying to increase CH, but you are already at 250 and concerned it may not be needed, let us know and we'll confirm. My question is where do you see an overall view where all tests are taken into account and then you are given instructions based on the comprehensive data available.
Additionally, is cya the next thing I try to correct when FC and TC are within normal limits. That's part of the question I asked before regarding what Corrections need to be taken when multiple things show out of range.I looked at the recommendations for cya. It gave me a correct recommendation number, however when I selected liquid stabilizer instead of a dry it did not give me an option to choose what percentage of muriatic acid. Sending a screenshot of what I see. Any information for me on why it would not give me the option to select the muriatic acid percentage?View attachment 600133
Completely get that and Understand. What it comes down to I guess is if you look at my log there are multiple things out of range. I don't know what action to take at this point. That is what I am 100% having problems with. If multiple things are out of range, and I'm sorry if what I wrote is not exactly accurate I might have gotten my terms mixe up but you can see it correctly in the log.. I need to know what to correct first in a situation where like I said multiple things are out of range. They are different chemicals.
Stabilizer increases CYA.
Muriatic Acid reduces pH.
That's probably what happened, sometimes it's hard to see what space I'm actually entering in especially if I'm outside. Yes, I know, go inside and do it. I will do that from now on to make sure. Thank you for taking a look at things. Yes my pH is high it's 8.2. When I went to the recommendations and chose the liquid instead of the dry, it used to give me a choice as to what percentage muriatic acid I would add, and it did not do that this time. So I haven't added anything because I don't want to add in an accurate amount. That's the screenshot I sent. I'll try it again maybe it was just a glitch. In your last log, you did not include pH. I think you logged your CYA as salt.
Everything else looks ok, except pH. If your pH is still above 8, I would lower your pH to 7.6-7.8. Use muriatic acid.
