Questions about CYA and other levels

I just received the test kit yesterday and starting testing. These are the initial test results.

FC: 17.5
CC = 0
ph = 7.5
TA = 110
CH = 225
CYA = 130

I can see that my CYA is high and that's because the pool is only 2 years old and I have been using the pucks the pool builder gave to me tin the automatic chlorinator since the beginning. I've learned here :) that also adds CYA so I've been adding that everyday for 2 years. I didn't add any more pucks but now I'm wondering if I should drain to get the CYA down or just leave it and use liquid chlorine to maintain the FC levels?

The higher your CYA the higher you must keep your FC level...

You can do it either way, but I recommend that you drain enough to get your CYA down to 50....

Also keep in mind the higher the CYA the harder it is to get an accurate number, so your CYA could even be higher than 130.

Thanks,

Jim R.
