Hi, just joined the forum today, hopefully I’m not posting a repeat, but I haven’t been able to find any hits in my searching. Set up our new Coleman Vista ii series AGP 18x48. We owned an Intex ultra frame 24x52 many years ago, but unfortunately I feel like I don’t remember a lot of the info I’d learned during that time!
My question is, when assembling the inlets and outlets, (forgive me if I switch the terms, I’m trying to wrap my head around if it’s out/in of the pool or out/in of the filter) the discharge from the filter seems fine, but the other two that pull water in to the pump are concerning me. The instruction manual is just some tiny pictures that don’t really indicate a lot. (I remember getting a huge, comprehensive book with our intex pool) so, the covers slide in to the hole on the inside of the pool and there’s a very flimsy hose that attaches to each on the outer side of the pool and a plastic clamp to attach it. We are in the filling stage but I’m concerned that when the water rises to the level of these, how will they not leak? They seem to be just kind of flopped in there, with nothing to create a seal on the pool wall. Is this sounding like the proper set up? Or should their be some kind of gasket or something?
move tried googling al sorts of different ways to see if I can understand the setup and if this is correct, but I’m not finding any info. Which makes me think, maybe this is a nonissue? I’m just hoping we don’t get too far in to filling if there’s something amiss!
Thanks for any help
