Recently moved into a new home with 3315g (18x40) pool with auto cover. Signature has been updated.
Pool in previous home was single speed and had Hayward vs Intellichor.
Pool just opened today. What a difference that autocover makes (previous pool had mesh cover so was solid green and took weeks). Some debri in pool but water is clear. Will still follow slam guidelines.
A few questions:
1. Need to get into the manual to understand timer settings for different speeds. I’ve received guidance that normal operating rpm should be 3000-3200 and if reducing, shouldn’t be any lower than 2300 for salt cell to work. Are these guidelines accurate?
2. Salt reading immediately at opening (electronic and drop testing) indicating 600 ppm. Very odd salt is that low with autocvoer. Perhaps due to stratification and need to allow pump to go for run for hours before measuring?
3. What are recommended the rpm settings for pool of my size using the JVS165S 1.65? I’m the kind of person that likes the pump to run 24/7 but I’m very open to lowering the rpm’s at night etc.
Thanks.
