Question if it's my globrite or easytouch panel going out

In ground pool since 2014 and I've had my fair share of globrites go out on me so I'm used to how they behave. Lately I've had some that are acting like they are going out, then all of a sudden they are working again. Usually the seal will leak ,water will get inside and one of the LED's will stop working so only certain colors will show up. Then they short and die. But this time, when they are on, all the colors work. Sometimes they get out of sync too. Kind of odd. I've also had some issues with the ambient temp sensor acting up as well as my pentair app locking up.

Are any of these signs the easytouch panel could be malfunctioning? Or probably just a globrite failure? I'm not sure how to troubleshoot here save for just buying new globrites, or I guess microbrites now, and try.

My vote is globrite failure. I have noticed that my spa globrite is again off from my pool lights (same transformer), which is exactly the same way it acted prior to a full failure a year or so ago. Spa light actually did not come on the other night, then about 30 minutes after I turned them on, I noticed it was on.

I am nearing having all 4 globrites fail. I am not looking forward to having to replace them. I will most likely go with microbrites, although I am not sure the longevity is that much better. I have not seen as many microbrite failure threads on here, so I'm hoping.

S,

If you have more than one light on the same relay, and some work and some don't, it can't be your EasyTouch.

As an example.. If you have two pool lights and they both come on at the same time, most likely they are on the same relay. If one one of the two lights work, it can't be the EasyTouch.

Most colored LED lights have a lifespan of about 10 nanoseconds...

Thanks,

Jim R.

I would suggest you find non-Pentair replacements. The LED pool lighting products on the market today are complete …

Thank you sir. Yes, I have 4 on one relay (pool) and 1 on the other relay (spa). 2 of the 4 on the pool relay are not acting up so it must be the globrites then. Sigh. Well, at least i've already purchased the adapters to the microbrites as it doesn't sound like there any any more reliable products out there that will work.
